I enjoy really bad movies. . I seek out movies that leave the realm of debate over definitions and tastes behind "good" and "bad." I seek the movies that are "bad" or "really bad" to the point most humans spend less time debating the good and the bad...and spend more time debating just how bad and awful they are. I happen to hope to run into movies so "extremely bad" that I can't tolerate the badness.

I like movies so explicitly bad that it would take an insane person, like myself, to embrace them.

That is exactly what I do.

Every now and then, I seek out horrible movies and watch them...hoping that I will hate them and feel mental anguish...even physical anguish in some of the legendary cases.

I enjoy really bad movies because I love hating them. In a twisted sort of way, I find surviving them to be a more enjoyable adventure than being captivated by great movies. It feels like I accomplished something by working hard to survive such a horrendous piece of crap, and I am left unsatisfied if the movie is merely bad.

Don't misinterpret this as me actually enjoying the bad movies or the frustration and pain they cause. I am still human. I still have the thought processes that tell me to divert my attention and money to better movies, or even to watch those few great ones again. I also do that much more often than I do watch really bad movies. If I watched bad movies continually, especially the legendary ones, I probably would be brain dead by now and I wouldn't ever experience the joy from great movies.

Yet, I get bored with great movies...because I'm crazy. Crazy enough to take this boredom and frustration out on really bad movies as I get a twisted sense of enjoyment from them.

People also seem to enjoy hearing my enthusiastic, happy rants on how bad these movies are. So I'm giving blogging a try.

I hope you share in my enthusasm for complete, unredeemable pieces of crap. I hope you find some entertainment in reading my frustrations. I especially hope I encourage you to try to seek out some of these bad movies so you can experience the unintentional humor and pain yourself.

Most importantly, I hope you learn more about the ignored and shunned world of bad movies. It's a wide, twisted world and I invite you to follow me down the really bad rabbit hole...or at least watch from a safe distance.
